The most useful references for a project do not always look like they belong to its subject. To understand how a neighborhood moves, I started with bus maps, shop notices, and handwritten notes left on gates.
Each object opened a different conversation. The map helped compare distances; the notices revealed repeated phrases; the notes reminded us that not every message is meant to last. I grouped these clues by question instead of making a board of attractive images.
